Browsing in an iPad is terrible - part 1

Steve Jobs keeps repeating everywhere that the browsing experience in the iPad is the best and that those asking for flash is because we are porno sites addict. Well, I gonna start posting all sites where I find problems when I visit them in my iPad. Just today,

- Netflix, does not allow me to rate movies.
- Live (Microsoft), I can't log out from an account to log back to another account.
- National Geographic, they have a section called the Picture of the Day. It does not work because the photo browser is made in flash.

So today I give my browsing experience in the iPad -3. Yeah that's a negative 3.

As you can see, Steve Jobs, there was not any Porno site and only one problem is flash relative. Of course, knowing you the answer is going to be a question: Did you contact these sites asking them to create iPad friendly versions? My answer is NO. I feel that is easy to change the ONE browser with problems than all sites that do not work in Safari but they do work well in all other browsers.

  1. Although this is an uncommon opinion (wasn't browsing with ipad a magic experience?), and although I didn't browse a lot with an actual iPad, I appreciate that someone can say loudly that the emperor is naked.

Indeed it's quite funny. In my blog (in Spanish) I critisize a lot different brands and products. Nothing happens... except when I critisize Apple products. Then, the bodysnatchets hurry and start to cry and make noises and faces.

Obviously that's the best encouragement that I can receive in order to critisize Apple more.

Don't wait too much for part 2, Frank :D

  2. The same thing happens to me at todoumpc.com. Even here those posts criticizing Apple get more attention. That's why i decided to buy an iPad. I got tired of the fanboys telling me that my opinion was not good because I did not own an Apple product. My experience with Safari for iPad is the worse only comparable with PIE for Pocket PC.

  4. I enjoy this applereactive moments, but I cannot decide if it is a religious thing, a identity thing or what. Well, what seems clear to me is that is no true technology passion driven :)

  6. Hahahaha, if he is talking about the 3 pages Im talking in this posts they are just 3 that that came one after another giving me enough inspiration to write about my browsing experience with the iPad. I wrote about tvguide.com just few days ago and I named this post with a part I because I run into pages with problems in the iPad everyday.
